Using SOLIDWORKS API Methods in JavaScript

This example demonstrates how to call SOLIDWORKS API from JavaScript in an internet browser using ActiveXObject.

JavaScript is a high-level programming language primarily used for web applications.

Due to security reasons, JavaScript running in a web browser cannot access desktop objects. However, JavaScript running in the Internet Explorer browser can access COM objects through the ActiveXObject.
